PREVIEW: Beeston Festival 2017


Beeston Festival is a celebration of Leeds’ diverse and vibrant community. Now in its 23rd year, Beeston Festival will take place on Saturday 15th July 2017 in Cross Flatts Park between 12-5pm.

This year there will be a parade around the site from 2:00pm. Listen out for the Dohl drummers and the whistles and join in the fun. The Parade starts by the Maud Avenue entrance and finishes at the Main Stage at 2:20pm.

Expect hours of live entertainment on their Main Stage and in their Arena, complimented by a huge range of activities including sports, games, ac a bazaar, a fun fair.

The bazaar at Beeston Festival is bursting with over a hundred stalls offering food from around the world plus local produce, clothing, jewellery, crafts, plants, tombolas and games. Watch out for Beeston Festival stalls – the proceeds from these go towards making next year’s festival even better: Barbecue, Cafe, Ice Cream, Cakes, Jams, Books and the Jam Jar Tombola.

There’ll be cricket, tennis, roller derby, rugby, football, golf, football and wrestling.

In the Children’s & Young People’s Area you’ll find a climbing wall, a bouncy castle and two Breeze inflatables plus a techno truck full on computers and gaming consoles.
